Hamfest 2006

The AARC/KL7KC Hamfest is scheduled for Saturday - September 30 at Elks Lodge #1551. The Lodge is located at 1003 Pioneer Road, on the north bank of the Chena River across from the downtown area. You can reach Pioneer Road off of Phillips Field Road or from Driveway Street - next to the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner building and the old train station.

	The Arctic Amateur Radio Club (AARC) 2006 Hamfest.The Room Is Upstairs On The 2nd Floor. A Handicap Elevator Is Available. Table setup usually occurs at 8am and the Hamfest begins at 10 am.

Please remember that all AARC memberships expire the day of the Hamfest. With the exception of recent membership applications, all AARC memberships will need to be renewed. The Hamfest is an excellent time and location to continue your membership or join the Arctic Amateur Radio Club as a new member.

AARC Board Members are elected at the HamFest - Please stop by and VOTE !! for the member of your choice. 1) APRS live demonstration, including some of the newest APRS software and the new AARC Emergency Operations computer/radio kits. For those involved in the upcoming Inoculation exercise, training will be conducted during the Hamfest.

2) VE exam License Testing (Tech/General/CW/etc....) will be available during the hamfest.

3) Swap meet and general radio, computer goodies for sale, barter and trade.

4) A diabolic Bunny Hunt is normally planned.

and... a Potluck is planned (noon time). Please bring one dish to share. Hamburgers and Hotdogs and other miscellaneous goodies will be provided.
